Friendship is both a source of pleasure and a part of good health。

People who have close friends naturally enjoy their pany。 Of equalimportance are the emotional benefits they get。

When something amazing happens to you, sharing the happiness of theoccasion with friends doubles your joy。 On the other hand, in times of troubleand tension and when our spirits are low, talking about our worries and fearswith friends lightens the stress。 Moreover, we may even get some goodsuggestions for solving our problems。

Throughout life, we depend on small groups of people for love, admiration, respect, support, and help。 Almost everyone has a "network" of friends:co-workers, neighbors, and schoolmates。

Some people have shied away from close relationships in which they need tohave confidence in others。 By bottling up their emotions, they keep themselvesaway from a healthy outlet1 for their negative feelings。

The environment and the people are always changing, and friendship is anecessary part of having a healthy and rewarding life。

Nowadays, the employment of college students is becoming more and more of a problem. According to statistics, about 30% of graduate students can't find a job after graduation. These college student who cannot find jobs are at their worst. Why college graduates have difficulty finding jobs? Why is it a big problem that puzzled people for years?

The reason for it is various. The main reason has the following points: Firstly, the number of the college student is increasing faster and faster these years. In addition, many colleges and universities fail to adapt their courses to the development of economy.

Secondly, It's easy for some students to find work. But the fact is that some students don't want to do the job, they except to find a work with a higher salary. In addition, some graduates did not work hard in college, so they are not competent for jobs they want.

Last but not least, some college students cannot come to terms with themselves and with the world around them. They pursue too high goals and are too particular about such factors as working conditions, salary, and so on. Therefore, they are reluctant to accept the job when they are offered to them.

How can we deal with the problem? In my opinion, students who are in colleges must work harder than before to keep their competitiveness. Only in this way can we find a suitable job. The government should take effective measures to expand employment. I do believe that this problem will be resolved soon.

英语演讲稿4

Efforts toward the success of the process, at first glance, like a black tunnel, sight of the head, such as Middle School graduating class of students, there are endless day of work, on the go, feel not enough sleep, many people every day, "the first cantilever cone piercing, to burn the midnight oil", a day in the "two line" between the hard work ... ... every day life is like a copier in print, everything is repeated.

Do not forget, the sun is new!

New, is a beautiful state of mind!

The new sun, Is this not a hope?

Every day see it, is like night and see the light of the black population, is it not a happiness?

Yes, the weight of our heavy burden almost collapsed, too high expectations, we are firmly nailed to the ground, but perhaps the greatest burden is also a symbol of life enriched.

Nietzsche said that people do not suffer the power of pessimism, so we do not have to smile toward victory, but the face of temporary difficulties, we have to smile, but also to heart smile.

英语演讲稿6

Dear teachers and students

  Hello everyone!

Gorky said, "books are the ladder of human progress". The human brain is like a machine. Only knowledge can provide inexhaustible energy and power for this machine. Reading is one of the essential ways to learn knowledge well.

Over the past few days, I have read a lot of books. For example, Chinese and foreign adventure stories tells many real and soul-stirring adventure stories at all times, at home and abroad. The spirit of explorers who are not afraid of hardships and never shrink back has inspired me to face difficulties bravely; "100000 whys" can provide accurate answers to some puzzles we encounter in life; The mysteries of the universe shows us scientific wonders and the mysteries of the universe that are still difficult to solve

Among the books I have read, the one I love most is Aesop's fables. What is a fable? Fable is a genre of literary works. It conveys meaningful truth and enlightenment with figurative stories, which is often ironic or admonishing.

In the process of my growth, books have become my close friends. It not only helps me broaden my horizons and increase my knowledge, but more importantly, it makes me find the fun of reading in the process of reading.

  Books, grow up with me!

  Thank you!

  Everybody Can Help The Environment

we all know famous indian poet once said, "life is given to us, and we earn it by giving it." as the saying goes, nature is given to us, and we earn it by contributing to it. however, most people nowadays just want to ask for more from the nature. in fact, they do very little contribution to the nature. therefore, the environment around us is becoming worse and worse.

do you often use batteries? then do you know it takes 50 times more energy to make them than they produce? and just one simple battery can pollute as much water as a person can drink in his whole life. the facts and figures are amazing. so would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? if possible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will be made into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more. sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak in terms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people become much clearer about the problem.

we, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protect the environment. for example, our class set up a recycling center beside the back door, it is very useful. it is used to collect the waste paper and plastic bottles. in the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into the trashcan. at the very beginning of this collecting……

英语演讲稿8

let me begin my speech with a replay of scenes familiar to most, if not all, of those present here today.

"mum, i'm sorry, but i need 3,000 yuan for my tuition this year."

"mum, it is my friend's birthday tomorrow, i must buy her a present." "mum, this jacket was out of fashion long ago, would you do me a favor? "

take. take. take. the relationship between a mother and a child always seems to follow such a pattern. i know my mother is always there for me, providing me with everything i need; from food to clothing, from tuition to pocket money. i never thought twice about all she did until one day she said, "will there be a time that you'll say you have taken enough from me? "

like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. we enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. we take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. we appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. as we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness. finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. how severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? how much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. with this new start, i firmly believe, that our children, and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!

英语演讲稿9

  Hello everybody!

My name is Chen Xuanlin. It is my pleasure to be here to share my opinions of growing pains.

Grow up, like a boat in my life, driving the wave surface. Sometimes, be in calm, sometimes be in rough. But the boat I was growing up, not everything is going. For me, sour, sweet, bitter,ho t,everything .

Now, as I grow up, are becoming adults, so in the eyes of parents, I was no longer to be a kid. Sometimes, they say "you've grown up,not a children!" When I listen to this,my head will be pain.

When I was a little boy, my life is so now, in front of the waves are bigger, and more twists and turns the sea,I become a middle school student, that I have all gone past. I'm taller, homework more, study more subjects, have more I was a boy, I am wrong no matter what happened, no one to blame now,if I do something wrong,my parents will shout. The relaxe time will far away from me.I will be more busy.

Study pressure always troubling me. Grown up, more work gradually like hills. After school, I do not dare to play, to see their favorite book, I'm afraid I can't complete the work, I can only try very hard to make the pen in my book on wave, for example, I have to run on the way home. The course also gradually heavy. Every home in the evening review, I looked at a lot of books, I really do not know to study what subject, is Chinese? Or math? Or geography? Or……

What should I do? To look life in the future.

英语演讲稿10

Man’s life is a process of growing up, actually I’m standing here is a growth. If a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow up along with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know I come here, now I wonder what the future holds for (= what will happen to) me. KKWhen I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. Following I will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job. KKOnce my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” I will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process I will combine learning with doing. If I can achieve this “future”, I think that I really grow up. And I deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future. KKHow to say future? Maybe it’s a nice wish. Lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.

英语演讲稿11

In our daily lives,we have many choices to make, such as what to eat for supper, what clothes to wear,or what to do on weekends. At certain times in our lives,we need to make even more critical choices, such as which school to attend, what job to take or who to choose as husband or wife.Yes,life is a mater of choice. Seemingly,it means a choice of tangible things. But in essence,it means choosing a way of life. Life is to be lived, saved, and enjoyed, not to be wasted or complained about. Hardly can we forget the time when our society faced the grave threat from the life-and-death disease-SARS. Yet,even during those dreadful times, some afflicted people remained optimistic. Instead of wearing neutral white masks, some people turned to colorful ones and thus display a happy mood. And some creative people dubbed SARS to mean“Smile And Remain Smiling .” I was deeply touched by their optimistic, nearly forgetting that we are still in a battle, people who survive these kinds of circumstances, decide in their minds to carry on in spite of the overwhelming odds.

Laid-off workers typically regarded as the victims of economic advancement, are subject to desperation that being unemployed has brought on them. But encouragingly,we have witnessed some of them striving hard to rebuild confidence toward life and discover new opportunities for demonstrating their values.

Although we cannot choose our appearance, inborn gifts and even avoid unexpected disasters and adversities,we do have the privilege to choose to live optimistically,to love our lives,to have dreams, and to cherish hopes.Every morning when we get up,we have a choice of how we want to approach life that day. As for me,I choose to be cheerful.

英语演讲稿12

i send my best wishes to everyone in india, britain and around the world celebrating vaisakhi.

i know this is an incredibly important time for the sikh community as families and friendscome together to commemorate the birth of the khalsa and give thanks. from southall tosunderland, from ottawa to amritsar, sikhs around the world will be marking vaisakhi withvibrant parades and celebrations with homes, gurdwaras and entire neighbourhoods burstinginto life with decorations and colour.

vaisakhi also gives us a chance to celebrate the immense contribution of british sikhs, whohave enriched our country for over 160 years. whether it is in the fields of enterprise orbusiness, education, public service or civil society, britain’s sikhs are a success story and modelcommunity.

and i see this contribution every day, all around. like at the magnificent gurdwara sahibleamington, where i saw for myself the values of sikhism – of compassion, peace and equality– in practice. and across the country i see how sikh and asian businessmen and women areboosting the economy by creating jobs and opportunities. but this contribution is not just arecent thing it goes back many, many years and was never more starkly demonstrated than 100years ago during the first world war.

just last month we commemorated the indian soldiers, many of whom were sikh, who foughtbravely alongside the allies in the battle of neuve chapelle in northern france. i pay tribute tothose men who travelled far from home and who fought and died with their comrades in thefight for freedom. we will never let their sacrifice be forgotten.

so at this important time, let us commemorate the birth of a great religion, let us give thanksfor everything the sikh community does for britain and let us celebrate the successful multi-ethnic, multi-faith democracy country that we are.

so wherever you are, i wish you all a very happy and peaceful vaisakhi.

英语演讲稿13

Good evening:

This is the 37th time I have spoken to you from this office, where so many decisions have been made that shape the history of this nation. Each time I have done so to discuss with you some matter that I believe affected the national interest. In all the decisions I have made in my public life I have always tried to do what was best for the nation.

  Throughout the long and difficult period of Watergate, I have felt it was my duty to persevere -- to make every possible effort to complete the term of office to which you elected me. In the past few days, however, it has become evident to me that I no longer have a strong enough political base in the Congress to justify continuing that effort. As long as there was such a base, I felt strongly that it was necessary to see the constitutional process through to its conclusion;

that to do otherwise would be unfaithful to the spirit of that deliberately difficult process, and a dangerously destabilizing precedent for the future. But with the disappearance of that base, I now believe that the constitutional purpose has been served. And there is no longer a need for the process to be prolonged.I would have preferred to carry through to the finish whatever the personal agony it would have involved, and my family unanimously urged me to do so.

But the interests of the nation must always come before any personal considerations. From the discussions I have had with Congressional and other leaders I have concluded that because of the Watergate matter I might not have the support of the Congress that I would consider necessary to back the very difficult decisions and carry out the duties of this office in the way the interests of the nation will require.I have never been a leave office before my term is completed is abhorrent to every instinct in my body.

But as President, I must put the interests of America ica needs a full-time President and a full-time Congress, particularly at this time with problems we face at home and abroad. To continue to fight through the months ahead for my personal vindication would almost totally absorb the time and attention of both the President and the Congress in a period when our entire focus should be on the great issues of peace abroad and prosperity without inflation at home.

Therefore, I shall resign the Presidency effective at noon President Ford will be sworn in as President at that hour in this I recall the high hopes for America with which we began this second term, I feel a great sadness that I will not be here in this office working on your behalf to achieve those hopes in the next two and a half years. But in turning over direction of the Government to Vice President Ford I know, as I told the nation when I nominated him for that office ten months ago, that the leadership of America would be in good passing this office to the Vice President, I also do so with the profound sense of the weight of responsibility that will fall on his shoulders tomorrow, and therefore of the understanding, the patience, the cooperation he will need from all Americans. As he assumes that responsibility he will deserve the help and the support of all of us.

As we look to the future, the first essential is to begin healing the wounds of this nation. To put the bitterness and divisions of the recent past behind us and to rediscover those shared ideals that lie at the heart of our strength and unity as a great and as a free taking this action, I hope that I will have hastened the start of that process of healing which is so desperately needed in America. I regret deeply any injuries that may have been done in the course of the events that led to this decision.

I would say only that if some of my judgments were wrong -- and some were wrong -- they were made in what I believed at the time to be the best interests of the those who have stood with me during these past difficult months, to my family, my friends, the many others who joined in supporting my cause because they believed it was right, I will be eternally grateful for your support. And to those who have not felt able to give me your support, let me say I leave with no bitterness toward those who have opposed me, because all of us in the final analysis have been concerned with the good of the country, however our judgments might differ.

So let us all now join together in affirming that common commitment and in helping our new President succeed for the benefit of all Americans. I shall leave this office with regret at not completing my term but with gratitude for the privilege of serving as your President for the past five and a half years. These years have been a momentous time in the history of our nation and the world. They have been a time of achievement in which we can all be proud, achievements that represent the shared efforts of the administration, the Congress and the people. But the challenges ahead are equally great.

And they, too, will require the support and the efforts of the Congress and the people, working in cooperation with the new have ended America's longest war. But in the work of securing a lasting peace in the world, the goals ahead are even more far-reaching and more difficult. We must complete a structure of peace, so that it will be said of this generation -- our generation of Americans -- by the people of all nations, not only that we ended one war but that we prevented future wars.

We have unlocked the doors that for a quarter of a century stood between the United States and the People's Republic of China. We must now insure that the one-quarter of the world's people who live in the People's Republic of China will be and remain, not our enemies, but our the Middle East, 100 million people in the Arab countries, many of whom have considered us their enemy for nearly 20 years, now look on us as their friends.

We must continue to build on that friendship so that peace can settle at last over the Middle East and so that the cradle of civilization will not become its grave. Together with the Soviet Union we have made the crucial breakthroughs that have begun the process of limiting nuclear arms. But, we must set as our goal, not just limiting, but reducing and finally destroying these terrible weapons, so that they cannot destroy civilization. And so that the threat of nuclear war will no longer hang over the world and the people.

We have opened a new relation with the Soviet Union. We must continue to develop and expand that new relationship, so that the two strongest nations of the world will live together in cooperation rather than nd the world -- in Asia, in Africa, in Latin America, in the Middle East -- there are millions of people who live in terrible poverty, even starvation. We must keep as our goal turning away from production for war and expanding production for peace so that people everywhere on this earth can at last look forward, in their children's time, if not in our own time, to having the necessities for a decent life.

good afternoon. i'm the president and ceo of pda drywall. we are based in raleigh, north carolina. one of the biggest setbacks in the last 12 years has been tax regulations. as we are embarking on tax forms discussions, what are you going to do for small businesses to help change those regulations in favor of small businesses?

many of the same things we have been discussing, comprehensive tax reform. mr. gary co. in the here has beenspearheading this charge at the white house. you can definitely pick his brain about tax reform. it is high on his mind these ring the corporate rate, encouraging business to grow, encouraging businesses based here to stay here, bring theircapital back that has been trapped overseas will have anenormously positive impact within our country and free updollars that can be reinvested. in conjunction with regulatoryreform, we have come out of the gate swinging. it's a major focus. my father's particular sensitivity to this issue is havingbeen a successful person in business himself. he understands thelimitations, whether businesses he was looking to buy or grow, dealing with suppliers and smaller businesses that services companies. he very much understands how the regulatory environment, while important has grown to a place where it is the unintended consequences is stifling entrepreneurial spirit. we are going to bring that back. we have started doing it. tax reform is going to be incredibly important for every american. we are optimistic about those things. and continued progress.

i would like to add, small businesses will say to me any tax reduction will be great. just let me know what it is. what is going to be my percentage. tell me what the rate is going to be so i can plan. without fail, every single one of those businesses tell me they will take that money and reinvest it in their business and hire more people. that will grow our economy. we will see that growth when we see tax rates go down. especially those in thellcs, all that money flows through. you know exactly how that works. we are working on it.

英语演讲稿15

Good morning/afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

consider the lowly toilet. Many of you may not think of the toilet as a form of technology if you think of toilets at all. But, it is and has contributed greatly to the improved health and overall quality of life for mankind.

On a recent trip to Japan, I was impressed by, among other things, a gadget in most public women's restrooms, called Otohime or Sound Princess. This device produces the sound of flushing water without the need for actual flushing. The technology saves the user both the embarrassment of being heard during urination and some 20 liters of water per use in cases where a woman might flush the toilet continuously while using it. Every time I used Otohime, I felt like a princess, an environmentalist princess on the toilet.

It was a longed for feeling. Over the past decade, I shuffled in and out of many kinds of public restrooms in China--filthy smelly water closets in outlying areas, spacious luxurious lavatories in five-star hotels, forever-occupied girls' stalls on campus during school, and smart modern mobile toilets in international fairs. But not one single "room" evoked my pride of being a princess. And I knew why the Sound Princess had. It was not because of the high technology the small bathroom boasted which is becoming ubiquitous worldwide. It was the idealism embodied in the technology that keeps reminding me that in this ever-changing world, I am a responsible and dignified human being even when sitting on a toilet.

Humanism, no matter how it is defined, aims to strike a balance between us being at the mercy of nature and being too human-centered. In my case, I haven't relieved myself under a tree for a while. I am a proud, dutiful Chinese citizen. Gone are the days when people just found a corner to do their business resulting in poor sanitation and threats to public health. The Otohimetechnology renders me two warnings: First, I am a humble human being with an obligation to save not only my face but also natural resources. Second, there is still a long way to go in my own country not just in developing technology and the economy, but also in upholding human dignity and promoting human welfare. Take the toilet: Dirty, crowdedtoilets shall, at least, give way to clean, human-friendly ones.

fortunately, I have seen improvements. At Shanghai World Expo 20xx, 8,000 toilets, all modern and technologically sophisticated, were installed across the site. What really delighted the visitors, however, was the user-friendly design and services. Toilets were situated every 100 meters. Several hundred volunteers served as toilet guides and sanitation workers. The ratio of female to male toilet space was set at 2.5 to 1. Soft music was played in the toilets. All this seems to celebrate the glory of comprehensive humanism.

Ladies and gentlemen, science and technology are here to improve earthly life and maximize human happiness. When our world benefits from technology, coupled with human considerations, we are bound to enjoy our life. Conversely, we suffer. The toilet is a piece of sanitaryware and the quintessence of humanism that underlies technological innovation. Like GNP, employment rates, and space exploration efforts, the lowly equipment is an equally important measure of a progressive society. When on a toilet if we feel like a princess, we shall be proud of living in a society that values humanity. If not, we must stand up and make some changes.

And if you are still baffled with what I have said, I suggest you take off right now and go experience the bathrooms in this auditorium, because they are what makes our life beautiful or ugly, humanism considered or ignored.
